Merseyside Police have confirmed that the number of people injured during Liverpool FC's title victory parade has risen to 109, with 12 individuals remaining in hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred when several people fell from a double-decker open-top bus during the parade through Liverpool city centre on Sunday afternoon. Emergency services were immediately deployed to the scene, with multiple ambulances and air ambulance units responding.
Investigation Underway

Aintree University Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital have been treating the injured. A spokesperson for Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: We received a significant number of casualties and our major incident protocols were activated. All patients are receiving appropriate care.
Of the 109 individuals injured, 97 have since been discharged, with 12 remaining under observation. Injuries range from minor bruises and fractures to more serious trauma, though no fatalities have been reported.
Community Response
Liverpool City Council has opened a support hub for those affected and their families. Mayor Joanne Anderson described the incident as deeply distressing and praised the swift response of emergency services.
The club has postponed all planned celebrations and released a statement expressing concern for those injured.
