Reliable News is committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. Our corrections policy reflects our dedication to accuracy and accountability.
How We Handle Errors
- Minor errors (e.g., typos, names, dates) are corrected immediately in the article text.
- Significant errors that affect the meaning of an article are corrected with a footnote at the top or bottom of the article explaining what was corrected and when.
- Retractions are published when an article is found to be fundamentally inaccurate.
Correction Notices
When a significant correction is made, we add a note at the end of the article in the following format:
Correction: [Date] — This article was updated to correct [original error].
How to Request a Correction
If you believe we have published an error, please contact us at newsroom@reliablenews.co.uk with:
- The article URL
- A description of the error you believe exists
- Supporting evidence or sources, if applicable
We review all correction requests promptly and respond within 48 hours.
